PARKING & TRANSPORT

Parking at Silverstone is available but must be booked in advance. It cannot be purchased on-site. If you do not book online, you will not be allowed to enter the official parking zones.

CRITICAL FOR 2026 – ANPR Vehicle Registration: Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) is in operation across all official sites. After booking, you must log into your Silverstone account and register your vehicle's license plate (SPZ) before arriving. If your registration details are not up to date, you will face major delays at the gates.

Parking is divided into two main zones:

• PARKING 1 is located within walking distance of the circuit. Please note: Many of these car parks are located on grassland and can be up to a 30-minute walk from the main gates. We highly recommend pinning your car's location on your phone's maps before heading into the action.
• PARKING 2 is served by shuttle buses. This zone requires you to select your direction of arrival from either the M40 or M1 motorway when booking, and your allocation cannot be changed afterwards.
• Motorcycles can park free of charge in dedicated areas.

Pricing: Parking for the Silverstone F1 Race ranges from £30 to £130 per day, depending on the day and time of purchase. Multi-day parking passes are also available for £170.

One-Way Traffic System

To help keep traffic moving throughout the British Grand Prix weekend, a strict one-way system operates on key roads around the circuit on Saturday and Sunday. Plan your journey according to these times:

• Inbound traffic (To the circuit): 05:00 – 15:00
• Outbound traffic (From the circuit): 15:00 – 23:00

Park and Ride & Shuttle Buses

The park-and-ride service is a convenient and cost-effective option. Two locations near the M1 and M40 motorways (such as Sixfields Stadium and other dedicated sites) are used for this service. Free shuttle buses operate regularly to transport fans to and from the circuit each day.

Shuttles start at 06:00 on Friday and Saturday, and at 05:00 on Sunday. The last return buses depart the circuit at 22:45 on Friday and Saturday, and at 21:00 on Sunday.

Beat the Crowds with Fast Lane Exit: The busiest time to leave the circuit is immediately after racing finishes. If you want to get moving quickly, you can purchase a Fast Lane Exit ticket (available on selected shuttle routes including Milton Keynes, Northampton, and Sixfields). This gives you priority boarding to skip the main bus queues. Alternatively, stay longer and enjoy the evening concerts and Comedy Club to let the traffic clear!

Taxi / Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Please note that taxis and private chauffeured vehicles are not permitted to drop off or pick up passengers directly at the circuit from Friday to Sunday. If you are arriving by taxi, you must use the official Drop-Off / Pick-Up point located at Towcester Racecourse, from where a short pre-booked shuttle bus will take you directly to the track.
