Gabriel Bortoleto si unirà alla Sauber (che presto passerà all'Audi) per la stagione 2025, segnando il ritorno di un pilota brasiliano a tempo pieno in Formula 1 dal 2017. A 20 anni, Bortoleto ha compiuto una rapida ascesa nel mondo del motorsport, conquistando il titolo del Campionato FIA di Formula 3 nel 2023 e guidando la classifica di Formula 2 nel 2024. Il suo ingaggio rientra nella strategia della Sauber di inserire giovani talenti nella squadra in vista della sua trasformazione in un factory team Audi nel 2026.
